Setup Requirements

Uninstalling and Disabling Hyper-V and Hypervisor Launch Type

  1. Open PowerShell as Administrator: To uninstall Hyper-V and disable Hypervisor Launch Type, you need to open PowerShell with administrative privileges.

  2. Uninstall Hyper-V:

Disable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName Microsoft-Hyper-V-All
  1. Disable Hypervisor Launch Type

bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off
  1. Restart your Computer

Enabling Virtualization in BIOS

  1. Access BIOS/UEFI Settings: Restart your computer and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings. This is usually done by pressing a specific key (e.g., F2, Del, or Esc) during the boot-up process.

  2. Navigate to Virtualization Settings: Look for a section related to virtualization settings. It may be named "Virtualization Technology," "VT-x," or something similar.

  3. Enable Virtualization: Select the option to enable virtualization and save the BIOS settings.

Disabling Core Isolation

  1. Open Windows Security:

    • Type "Windows Security" in the Windows search bar and open it.

  2. Device Security:

    • Click on "Device Security" in the left sidebar.

  3. Core Isolation Details:

    • Under "Core isolation details," click on "Core isolation settings."

  4. Disable Core Isolation:

    • Toggle off "Memory integrity."

Disabling All App and Browser Protection

  1. Open Windows Security:

    • Type "Windows Security" in the Windows search bar and open it.

  2. App & Browser Control:

    • Click on "App & Browser Control" in the left sidebar.

  3. Adjust Protection Settings:

    • Under "Exploit protection settings," click "Exploit protection settings."

  4. Disable App and Browser Protection:

    • Adjust the settings as needed, keeping in mind that you want to minimize protection for specific applications or processes.

Disabling Real-Time Protection and Tamper Protection

  1. Open Windows Security:

    • Type "Windows Security" in the Windows search bar and open it.

  2. Virus & Threat Protection:

    • Click on "Virus & threat protection" in the left sidebar.

  3. Virus & Threat Protection Settings:

    • Click on "Virus & threat protection settings."

  4. Disable Real-Time Protection:

    • Toggle off "Real-time protection."

  5. Disable Tamper Protection (if available):

    • Look for the "Tamper Protection" setting and disable it.

Downloading and Using Defender Control by Sordum

  1. Download Defender Control:

    • Visit the Sordum website to download Defender Control. (Password of archive is sordum)

  2. Run Defender Control:

    • Run the downloaded executable file.

  3. Disable Windows Defender:

    • Within Defender Control, you can easily disable Windows Defender by clicking the "Disable" button.

  4. Optional: Enable Windows Defender:

    • If you ever need to re-enable Windows Defender, you can use the "Enable" button in Defender Control.
